Father Abbot’s Message

Our Benedictine Life and history from our foundation as a community of Monks spans 1500 plus years that is steeped in following the Rule of Saint Benedict. The Monks have a history and is famous for the sung Gregorian chant which is the Official Liturgical Chant of the Church, Above all, however, it is a living community of men searching for God. Since our monastery is a place of silence and recollection, we invite you to share in our spirituality, liturgical prayer, community life, heritage and the central presence of Christ in our life by participating with us in our daily journey.

Devotion to the True Presence of Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament is central, along with our cloistered life that is shared with those who wish to follow with us on their daily spiritual journey. The uniting of your day with ours is in itself a way of living a Benedictine vocation. Living in the world today calls for spiritual action, in words, in devotion and in a practical sense a radical existence in living attached to those things which makes God and the Gospel the central part if the day. We invite visitors to become an extended member of our community life through our web site, and to join with us each day in offering your work and your vocation in life that the Lord has called you to in the spirit of Saint Benedict. Prefer Nothing to the Love of Christ/Rule of Saint Benedict

Prayer To Saint Michael The Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
